My childhood summers' most memorable moments are typically accompanied by the sounds of Cleveland Indians baseball and Herb Score beaming through on the AM dial. His voice heard distinctly on top of the sound of small crowds at the old Muny and the occasional crack of the bat or snap of a glove. Since all games were not on TV like they are today, he was our only connection to to the game we love the most and wished we'd grow up to play in old Municipal Stadium.
Herb, thank you for those memories. May you forever rest in peace.
You will be missed.
